Lighting and Side Panels

I wanted to be able to control the lighting within the case, so I modded a spare optical drive bay cover, replaced the mesh with some perspex and installed a switch to manage this alongside two temperature displays (green, of course).

The lighting would be provided by LED strips and, with my new found soldering skills (which had improved slightly), I set about rigging up the lights at specified intervals. The roof panel was completed and I was dying to install my hardware. Braiding the water-cooling tubing was the hardest part of the hardware install, along with the dreaded cable management.

The project was nearing its end and I still hadn't yet touched the side panels, but this was about to change. Having cut off the bulging mesh and sunken window on one side panel and the window for the reservoir on the other, I sprayed the interior black and painted a couple of highlights on each side.

I thought about removing the HAF logo completely (it stands for High Air Flow) or even changing it to High Water Flow, but I instead highlighted it with green paint.
